Sulfur and Phosphorus Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Sulfur and Phosphorus Technology”) is a subsidiary of Shandong Lubei Chemical Co., Ltd., and a core technology enterprise under Shandong Lubei Chemical Co., Ltd. It currently operates facilities with an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of ammonium phosphate, 400,000 tons of sulfuric acid, and 600,000 tons of cement, collaboratively processing 250,000 tons of waste materials.

Throughout years of development, Sulfur and Phosphorus Technology has adhered to the principles of environmental friendliness and comprehensive resource utilization. Following ecological principles and employing circular economy concepts combined with systems engineering methodologies, it has established a circular economy industrial chain that uses phosphogypsum - a by-product of ammonium phosphate production - to produce sulfuric acid and cement concurrently. The phosphogypsum waste generated from the ammonium phosphate unit serves as raw material for cement clinker production, with the sulfur dioxide released during phosphogypsum decomposition being utilized to produce sulfuric acid, which is then recycled back into ammonium phosphate production. In this integrated process, waste from one product becomes the raw material for the next, sulfuric acid is recycled continuously, and the entire production process achieves zero waste discharge, enabling efficient, continuous, and orderly resource circulation.

The circular economy industrial chain involving phosphogypsum-based sulfuric acid and cement co-production collaboratively handles sulfur-containing waste, effectively addressing land occupation issues caused by phosphogypsum storage and eliminating environmental pollution. This achieves comprehensive utilization of industrial gypsum by-products and a beneficial cycle of sulfur resources. Moreover, it opens up new pathways for sulfur resource utilization, significantly reducing carbon dioxide emissions from cement production and integrating economic, social, and environmental benefits harmoniously.

The main products of Sulfur and Phosphorus Technology include fertilizers, sulfuric acid, and cement. The “Lubei” brand compound fertilizer has received awards such as “China Famous Brand,” “Shandong Famous Brand,” and “Shandong High-Quality Brand.” The “Lubei” brand diammonium phosphate (DAP) has earned the titles “Shandong Famous Product” and “Shandong Famous Brand.” The “Haifeng” brand Portland cement has been recognized as a “Shandong Famous Product,” and the “Lubei” trademark has been acknowledged as a “China Well-known Trademark.” Lubei Chemical has been consecutively listed among the “Top 100 Fertilizer Enterprises in China” and the “Top 100 Phosphatic Compound Fertilizer Enterprises in China,” and has been awarded the honorary title “National Enterprise Honoring Contracts and Valuing Credit” by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce.
